About

Dr. Kara Thomas is a licensed psychologist in both Michigan and Pennsylvania. Over the course of earning her doctorate from Immaculata University, her training and work was split between forensic psychology and neuropsychology in the Philadelphia region. She has been a practicing therapist for almost 15 years and enjoys the relationships she builds with her clients. She also enjoys gardening, hiking, and arts of all kinds.

Dr. Thomas has experience working with individuals with a variety of clinical presentations. Some of her more extensive experience and training has been in working with people who have mood disorders (e.g. anxiety or depression), sex-related problems, trauma histories, complex grief, and interpersonal conflict. These are but a few of the presenting problems she is capable of treating.

Importantly, Dr. Thomas is accepting and welcoming of people from all walks of life. She has specific interest in helping the marginalized feel empowered and proud. This is a safe space for all.
